Today, I'm completley anxiety ridden about this...dunno why, just kind of hit me..... I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!! Particularly since the names have been turned in and now it's just up to the grad school division to notify people...8 more days and counting:uhoh3:
I JUST GOT IN TOO! YAYYY!!!Family NP!
Next step...housing? I'm from CA and know absolutely nothing about Chicago
Shoosta, feel free to send me a message. I am in the Family NP program also! I am from the Chicago area, so if you need any helpful advice I would be happy to help. Congrats!
PS- Brace yourself for the COLD!
I hope something opens up for you. Do they tell you what number you are on the list, or they just tell you that you are on the waitlist? Crossing my fingers for you.
They did tell me and Kate said that there are 48 people that have been waitlisted. I'm really hoping that something opens up. And thanks! I'm keeping my fingers crossed too!
Hey everyone,
I got accepted into the UIC GEP Acute Care NP program. I'm from California and i was wondering where's a good place to live in Chicago and where can you find roommates? Ideally, i'd like to find roommates and go house hunting with them. In the meantime, i'm looking for a part time job considering they are prohibiting us from working the 1st 15 months. Anyone know what is a suggested budget for living in Chicago? Cheers! Also, anyone know how many people got into the program?
I know that rent in some areas pilson/bilson are as low as 325/month (coming from Boston, that is incredibly cheap)
I spoke with someone at UIC, there is no funding for 1st semester GEP students, just outside scholarships and loans, after that, there is limited tuition waivers and during our third semester we are eligible to apply for graduate uic scholarships.
I am freaking out about the cost, 15,000 semester for over 3 years!! Yikes
: (
BUT, it is an awesome feeling to have been admitted!
