Hi folks,
Thinking about applying to UIC's GEP program. Anybody here applied and was accepted? What were your stats?
My stats: 3.2 Overall GPA/3.5 Sci BA in Sociology. Office Manager in home health care, tech in a medical equipment co, medical assistant (no cert) in dr's office and later office manager there. Volunteering in Nursing Home around 120 hours...
From what I can tell on their website, after completing the NCLEX, you immediately start the master portion of the program. Is this correct?
Hey guys,
On the website it states, "All materials including supplemental application, application fee, GRE scores, official transcripts, and electronic letters of recommendation must be received by the application deadline."
Official transcripts? We need to send those? I thought we submitted the unofficial online and the official will be sent after acceptance.
Yes! I posted earlier about how I thought that was rather redundant to order official transcripts (my school does not offer electronic official transcripts), wait for them to come, then upload them... only to have to re-submit them again if we are admitted.
Here's the email that I received:
"Yes, that would be the best way to do it. Unfortunately University policy will not allow us to accept official transcripts until a decision has been made.
I recommend checking with each schools registrars office, most schools send transcrtps through e-mail and it's usually free."
So if you haven't ordered them, do so! :)
Okay now I am reading this, "You may need to obtain and scan a copy of an official transcript if the institution does not provide an acceptable unofficial version."
What is an acceptable unofficial version of a transcript??
Yeah I am going to call them tomorrow to ask....will keep you all updated.
I called too and left a message, but I'm also going to email them because I want an answer in writing. I'll let you know what/if I hear anything.
Just curious, rainkissedleaves, what makes you want to move to Chicago from CA? I was excited the wind chill was above zero yesterday and we are actually having a pretty mild winter.
