I haven't seen a post about UIC GEM 2018 program so I figured I'd start it.

Has anyone else been invited to the mock interviews and planning on attending?

Did anyone do their undergrad at UIC?

Just a heads up that I received this via e-mail from the director of student services that I met on campus on the day of my interview (Clare): "We anticipate decision notifications released the week of April 2nd, if not earlier."

And the wait continues...

UIC is on spring break March 26-30 (not sure if that included staff), so I'm guessing if we haven't heard anything this week we'll most likely have to wait another week of radio silence...the saga continues

Pretty sure in the past week or so the program's website changed from saying decisions would be sent no later than mid-March, now to saying:

Final decisions will be sent to applicants no later than mid-April.

sigh...I wish they realized people have to make some tough decisions and continuously extending their admissions decision (and not notifying anyone) just complicates everything

I heard from someone at UIC by this coming Friday but I'm not going to hold my breath...

The admissions office told me on March 23rd that they were still waiting for the Graduate Admissions Committee decisions and were hoping to send out notices in the next two weeks. UIC was on spring break last week so hopefully we get something this week.

Just received a notification, "Our Admissions committee is wrapping up the review of the many applications we received this year. Due to the high quality of applications, this process is taking a bit longer than originally anticipated. At this time no decisions have been made but we anticipate a courtesy notification being sent out April 12th."
