2018 UIC Graduate Entry Master of Science Program (GEM)

Published

I haven't seen a post about UIC GEM 2018 program so I figured I'd start it.

Has anyone else been invited to the mock interviews and planning on attending?

When I asked, I was told in prior years decisions were sent out around the middle of April, but that this year they were trying for earlier. Hope that helps!

Out of curiosity, did everyone submit the essay for scholarship consideration?

Yes! I summited mine

not yet, but is it a requirement?

I applied and had my interview on Friday 2/23. I was told they would have final decisions by the end of March (M. Behlke) but prior years post on here that they have gotten their decisions via e-mail and in April.

I sent in the information for the scholarship. Not sure how we find out about those decisions.

This waiting game is killing me!! Has anyone heard anything back? Does anyone know how many are expected to be accepted?

same here! haven't heard anything back yet, on the fall 2017 post someone mentioned they accept 55?

Do you know how many people applied?

As I recall, there were about 168 interview time slots available for the group interviews.

How many get accepted in the Chicago and Urbana campus?

I honestly don't know much about admissions for Urbana, only that you would have had to apply for that program specifically. For Chicago I keep seeing the number accepted is 55, but it can possibly be more depending on how many clinical sites are available.

do we know if they have a waitlist? haven't heard much about their waitlist process
