UIC Fall 2010 BSN Admittance!!??

Just wanted to start a UIC thread here since the acceptance/denial letters will be going out soon. I expect to get the decision by April 15.

Congratulations hosanna! she is probably not going to be able to answer her phone if everyone keeps calling her! I checked my status online, and it is not updated, nor have I received an email.

Good luck everybody! She said if you leave a voicemail, she will try to call you back. She did say that she's getting 60 call/hour right now.. I want to know who else got in!?

I emailed her and she called me back. I got in! She did say she is extremely busy, so hang tight if you haven't gotten a response yet. Good luck to everyone!

I just checked my status on the UIC site and it shows this:

Application Data

Admission Term:Fall 2010 - Chicago

Admission Type:Transfer

JuniorDecision:Admit - Pending

Level:Undergrad - Chicago

Program:BSN:Nursing (BSN) -UICCatalog

Term:Fall 2010

I don't know what admit pending means but I hope it's not the waitlist. Can someone who was admitted please confirm that they also have the Admit-Pending in their status?

Anna-I still trust that you'll get in too. I want to have a killer study group with you!

What's your plan of action? Did they say how long before you know for sure whether you get in or not? Will it be before the orientation on May 21st?

I just got the Elizabeth Fern email. It goes something like this:

Congratulations on your excellent academic credentials which have qualified you for regular admission. I am pleased to inform you that the UIC College of Nursing Baccalaureate Admissions and Academic Standards Committee has reserved a place for you at the Chicago campus in the Fall 2010 entering BSN class.

I'm very happy to have gotten this far :)

I look forward to working with you girls/guys. Good Luck to everyone.

Congrats congrats!!

I was on the phone with her and she was re-sending the acceptance emails. Apparantly some did not recieve the first batch of emails. I think people with gmail in particular?

Yeah! Hopefully we can all connect face-to-face soon!

Thanks, I need all the hope I can get :) In the email there was nothing about where on the list I am, and it said that if I was to be offered a spot it could be anytime between now and August. At this point I really don't know what I will do. I plan on calling NIU tomorrow to see why they put me in Spring instead of Fall, and if there's any way to get that switched. If so I may just go with it...I have to make a decision on renewing my lease by the end of May, so if I don't hear from UIC by then it's either stay here in the city and go to Truman hoping for a last minute spot at UIC, or move out to the suburbs for NIU.

This is so annoying!
