they are now accredited, as per their website:

[color=#231f20]graduates of the second degree bsn program are eligible to apply to take the examination for licensure as registered nurses."

[color=#231f20]i applied for spring 2010 and i just received my notification for an interview which is to take place on november 30th.

That's awesome KStar. I just got the invitation as well and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. Did you read the part about getting sized for uniforms? I was a bit surprised by that. I wonder if the interview is just a formality.

I also applied for the Spring 2010 semester. I just checked my UHV email, and I'm excited about the interview. I was surprised that they want us to size that day, also! See yall on November 30th!

Hey guys. I also recieved my invitation through my personal email on Tuesday and the actual letter arrived Friday.I've been anxiously awaiting this so I'm very happy.I called the Victoria campus and talked to someone back at the end of September.She said at that time there were 216 applicants and 85 would be chosen to interviews but only 48 will be admitted.The lady at the Sugarland campus told me a few months ago that there would be 60 people accepted but the sizing thing made me think very positive.I hope all of us are amongst those accepted;-)See you on the 30th!

Oh and out of curiosity,did your letters say that you were ranked in a certain percentile of all the applicants?

Congrats to you too! As far as my letter, it said I was in the top 30%. Wow, 216? I was expecting it to be more than that, but oh well! As long as we made it this far and hopefully into the program.

Thanks for sharing that info, that really gives an insight as to what to expect. Btw, JSanz, margaretlw and I are meeting for breakfast that morning close by the campus. Let us know if you'd like to join us and ill message you the details :)

And to answer your question, no I didnt apply anywhere else b/c I was really praying that this would work out in my favor.BTW my letter said top 30% also so I guess we all got the exact same letter.Also, did anyone recieve a reply to verify that UHV recieved your confirmation email?I didn't so I was just wondering.

Did you read on the website's FAQ that it would be a group interview?Im a little nervous.That would be something new to me.

Could 11/30 get here already?LOL

And yeah, I saw the "group interview" thing on their website. Actually, there's another UHV thread started by JSanz as well. If you go on there, there was a recent post by someone who had new information for us so please check out that thread.

Hey Guys!

I wanted to wish you guys good luck on the interviews tomorrow :yeah: I met the founding dean and the Sugarland dean 2 weeks at an award ceremony and they are very nice and down to earth people! I was not able to apply to the program because i was missing speech and computer literacy courses. I was going to apply in 2011, but i got accepted to UTMB for Spring 2010. Hope you all get accepted!

Has anyone received an acceptance letter or email yet? I talked to the advisor today about the fingerprinting process and she said that they would include the info in the acceptance letters which will go out by the end of this week. I asked her if it was possible that we would receive it today and she said that they hoped to have it done today, but if not then tomorrow. Now i'm freakin' out of course thinking that everyone got one today...but not one for me yet. Any word?
