UH Second Degree Nursing

Published

I just wanted to know if the UH nursing program is difficult for those that have gone through it. I know its a 1 year program. I also I failed out a different nursing program and would be graduating with a degree in Nutrition. I don't want to go into another nursing program and fail/get kicked out. The first time wasn't a great experience. I felt a lot of shame and disappointment in myself. I felt like i failed my mom and i dont want to do this again and flunk out wasting my time and money. Thanks. :)

We have no idea what UH is. And "difficult" is relative. It is different for everyone.

But I can tell you that it is not wise to go looking for a nursing program that is easy. A nursing program must be strenuous in order to prepare you for both the NCLEX exam and, most importantly, the real world of nursing. If you did find such a program, I can guarantee you that it (1) is a for-profit school, (2) is very, very expensive, and (3) does not really prepare you for NCLEX or reality. You could very easily be accepted and graduate, only to be unable to pass NCLEX. Then you'd really be in a bad place.

There is no easy or quick road to becoming a nurse.

University of Houston? University of Hawaii? Something else? Don't know it but I never heard of a nursing program for RN that is only one year. Is it a one year LPN program and UH stands for something else?

University of Houston!

I know there is no easy way, I just read a comment about how people get dropped quickly and i don't want to be one those people. I would lose it. I want to get accepted and finally make it as nurse, it'll be a dream come through!
