Hello there! Anyone applying to UHM Nursing Program for Spring '15 admission? Just wondering if you'd be interested in sharing your stats. I'll be submitting my application soon and am really curious if I have a chance...

Here's my stats:

pgpa:3.7

cgpa: 3.35

NLN:

composite score: 127

composite percentile: 89%

It says for fall 2015, then in parentheses as discussed in previous letter...referring to the letter telling us there will be no spring admission...

Brian Akiyama returns on Wednesday and I want him to clarify why I didn't get it and exactly how they choose because I have the right to know why.

UH informed us that spring 2015 class was canceled a week after the KCC spring deadline, so I couldn't apply.

I think theres still a chance for people to get into spring 2015. Didnt the letter say that if you dont get in then you can still reapply by Feb 1?

You mean for FALL 2015? Actually the chances are slim, first you have to pay $45 and now they're looking for references, certifications, etc. now even with just good grades your chances aren't that high. Also they've already accepted students for FALL2015, which leaves possibly only 25% of all applicants that will be accepted. The application to apply again would be due on January 5th.

Only thing is I think I read somewhere that UH will no longer take NLN, only TEAS.

The still accept NLN scores, I think they are not proctoring the exams anymore. I read articles and talked to some of the student advisors because I was fed up with their bs.

Sorry I was wrong about the NLN. UH is no longer proctoring the NLN, but they are still taking NLN scores until further notice.
