Try not to worry about NOT having support. School nursing is about complete autonomy when it comes to decisions you need to make many times a day; the nature of the beast. Just report what you are mandated to report and move on. Spend some time planning your, weekends off, or Thanksgiving, or Christmas, or Spring Break, or Easter, or Summer time off.

This!!
Our "nurse brains" do not allow us to see and think about things the way the non-nurse brains do. We have a license and that carries a lot of weight. I am sure you are doing a great job and you are there because your students need you to be their voice and protector when they need it. Hang in there. Keep doing what you do and the school community will soon learn to appreciate the "tone" you have set and your expectations.
Hugggs to you.
