I am starting a thread for UFV, Sept 2013 applicants (thus the title)

I am a Jan 2013 reject and hoping for a spot in the fall. Is anyone here a repeat applicant?

I've even taken my laptop on vacation so I can check my UFV status lol

Reading all these posts makes me smile and think about how cool it would be that if all of us got in we wud all have each other to go through school with. i think that was one of my jitters: to start a whole new school year without actually knowing one person. Just looking on the positiv-er ( lol ) side, i wonder what the next step would be after we get our acceptance..like do we join another group online? things to look forward to:)[/quote']

We'll have to get a Facebook group going afterwards! I refuse to make one yet, or I'd totally be jinxing myself. Then we can all reveal ourselves.

A new class is open for stats 104 !! Anyone want to take it ? I don't know if I should because if I don't get in nursing this intake I wont have anything to do next semester. Still debating if I should do it or not.

Abby12, do it now! If you have nothing to do next semester, it's better than having to do stats on top of nursing classes. Stats was not fun, and I'm so happy I got it over with before the program starts. I can't imagine the stress that class would add during the program. Maybe you're an excellent math student, I have no idea haha, but I don't really know many people who breezed through it. (I've always been an average math student, but stats was not quite math....it was a bundle of useless crap I will never use in my life that almost made me lose my mind...granted, I took the stupid class online). So take advantage and do it now! AND BESIDES, you won't have free time next semester because you'll be too busy starting your first year of nursing!! :)

Yeah that's a good idea ! I'm super nervous. I cant stop thinking about it aaaahhh we should know soon. I wonder if they go on this site and see what applicants have to say. I've heard that age matters a lot, since many young students drop out within the first 2 years of nursing school.

Take stats, get it out if the way now. I'm starting Psyc 101 on Tuesday. My last "non nursing" course I need to take. Hopefully I'll be doing the nursing ones in sept!

thank you abby12 for posting that ufv had opened a new stats class! now i can rest assured that i will have stats done with :D so happy! LOL

You could always take stats over the summers. It is required in 3rd year. I am in the same boat and deciding between my elective and stats course. Stats will take me all the way to august, with less that a week before A&P starts, so I think I will hold off on it :)

Anyone else feeling extremely anxious today? Last year, this was the day they found out. And they told me that we'd all have our letters by May 10, so it would make sense for decisions to be made today. Today is the most nervous I've felt (besides right before the interview) throughout this whole process. Ugghhhhh.

I feel like id rather find out by letter rather than sitting on myufv and nervously waiting for them to update my application.
