UF Generic Nursing 2010

Hey! So has anyone applied for Fall 2010.? What is your GPA and where are you transferring from. I currently have a 3.1. I am taking Micro and A&P II and I'm sure I will get A's in both of those to help my GPA go up. Do I stand a chance? Not to happy about my GPA though. Chemistry killed me. I got a C. I'm going to be a transfer from Santa Fe College.

I applied for the Fall 2010 generic BSN program. I'll be transferring from a florida community college with around a 3.3 GPA. I wish it was higher but my first year a screwed around, and now I'm regretting it! Do you know when we will find out if we got in?

No I have no idea actually. Last year students found out mid June. I wasn't sure if we found out after they reviewed our stuff or if transfer students waited to find out as if we were freshmen. Some colleges have the rolling, where they give you an answer as soon as they look at your application. I'm hoping to get into here. I'm applying to other schools, but I don't want to move further than Gville. I will if I have to though.

prepneck89: I have a 3.3 & am transferring from UNF. I think we may stand a chance but I don't know, I heard they accept as low as a 3.3 but we'll see. Chemistry killed me as well & I also got a C =[ Taking AP2 & Micro now...I heard we wont find out til May or June either, ughh thats so far away.

Ugh.! I know. It's taking forever. I think my GPA is going to go up at the end of this semester. Hopefully they will recieve my updated transcripts in time.

Hey! I am surprised that there are so few threads for UF generic BSN applicants. There are a lot for the accelerated program. I am coming from Florida State College (formerly FCCJ). I have a 4.0 right now, but I am currently taking A&P 2 and Microbiology. I know I will get an A in A&P, and I am waiting for my midterm grade for micro to help give me a better idea of how that class is going. I am so nervous! I have also heard that applicants don't find out until June. I had a meeting with a UF counselor and she stressed that it is very competitive. At least we are all coming from Florida community colleges and will have a little preference for that! Do they conduct interviews before the final decision? If they do, does anyone know when that will take place?

There are no interviews, we won't find out until June...& you are golden with a 4.0. I wouldn't even worry about it. Did you apply to UNF too since you are coming from the Jax area?

Oh, I am glad there aren't any interviews. I was planning to go to SC to visit family and I was so nervous that I would need to go in for an interview during that time. As crazy as it is, I only applied to UF. I know I should have applied to more schools to cover myself, but UF is my dream school, so I am taking the chance! How do you like UNF?

I hate UNF, hence why I am transferring lol. I didn't get into their nursing school either (they only accept 48 out of 550 applicants)...& like I said...with a 4.0 any school is going to accept you & its okay that you only applied there. UF's nursing program isn't even as competitive as other schools. You will be accepted, I PROMISE!!! =D

It's too bad that UF waits so long to let you know, what if another school wants a deposit or something like that.

No, I haven't applied, I'm always interested in UF because that's my alma mater. Class of...well, class of before you were even born.
