UF BSN 2019

Published

I haven't seen a thread for the traditional BSN program for fall of 2019, so I decided to make one! Applications opened November 9th!

Here's a few stats about me!

In December, I will graduate with my AA from College of Central Florida so I will be applying as a transfer student!

My cumulative GPA is a 3.5

My pre req GPA is a 3.7

Any nursing students that have been admitted, do you have any advice/suggestions for applications? I saw that this year is the first year we have to take the HESI A2 exam, but anything helps!

I am also applying to UCF's nursing program. I haven't decided on any others but I need to look into a few more.

I hope we find out today. This is getting so frustrating. Has anyone heard?

Nope :( I’m about to lose it right now

Check your emails! I didn't get in

I GOT IN!!!!!

I GOT IN!!! So excited!!!!!

I GOT IN!!!!!!!!!!!

I got in! So excited! Congratulations to all that got in. To those who did not and had the grades and all the additional requirements, I’m very sorry you didn’t get in because you deserved to. Sad reality that there are not enough educators to teach all the talented and bright people who applied.

I got in as well!!

However, I second everything that was said above. If you did not get in, your nursing journey only ends here if you let it. There are many ways to get R.N. behind your name so don't let this discourage and stop you.

I didn’t get in!

4.0 GPA, 92 on HESI with a 9200/1000 on critical thinking, CNA and medication technician for 2 years, BLS and CNA certified, shadowing + volunteer hours at Florida Hospital, president of a club at my college, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. I’m proud of what I’ve done but just goes to show you how important how the personality assessment and being a transfer student is! So happy for those that got in congrats!!!! Sad that I did not get in to UF but happy for you that did UF is an amazing program!!

did anyone else not receive an email stating whether they did or didn’t get in??

Check your spam folder! Mine was in my spam folder. I didn't get in as a transfer and met and was above all the requirements! Best of luck!

I’m about 4 hours away from Gainesville. If any of you are looking for a roommate or trying to figure out the next steps in the enrollment process, email me and let’s start a group chat! So we can help each other through this process.
