Hey guys! So I just joined allnurses, but I have been watching the forums for the UF BSN Admissions for a while. I realized there is not an active one yet for 2015 and I would like to get it started! I know we all are anxious still from letting go of our applications April 5 and now we are waiting until June to hear the results! I am currently a UF student and I am really hoping to get into this fantastic program. I hope to attract students that were previously accepted to hear what they have to say about the admissions process and the program itself! Essentially, I wanted a place where I could discuss my nervousness with people that understand! (Plus, I know everyone is curious as to what caliber of students we are facing this year as well!!)
Who else out there applied for Fall 2015?
I guess for me it doesn't seem like I'm super stressed out about the wait but I am! haha I also wish they had a deadline, which they may, but it doesn't seem like it. Most likely it's something we don't know about. Trying to be very patient and positive. Every applicant probably feels anxious. And I also was thinking of in the future becoming a nurse practitioner for either Neonatal or general Labor and Delivery. The first one seems like what I've had most people tell me they wanted to do! Too bad UF got rid of that program, though :/
A lot of people love babies! :) And I know... this is ridiculous ... I called twice today and got voicemail each time and haven't received a reply for my email yesterday. I really want to know what is going on. You think after not giving out the application at the normal time this year they would at least get the letters out in time I urge someone to try calling again, I'm already a stalker lol
I called the office and the lady said exactly, "you guys should be getting your letters in the mail at the end of this month." I asked have they been mailed yet, she replied, "No ma'am." I then asked, "So, it is going to be by mail, not email?" She said, "Yes ma'am, it will be by mail." Ughh, this means another week and 1/2 or two weeks. Why are we hearing two totally different things? I called Ken's number directly but it went to voice mail. He's most likely busy.
Blah yeah I figured that at this point it was going to be letter too But hey, if the letters go out tomorrow then we could still know by the end of the week! I feel like Ken's update should be trusted more than the lady at the front desk. Since he said he wanted to get them out this week then I think there's still a chance we could hear by Friday or Saturday if they get the letters out soon.

Oh yeah! I said what I said without complete confidence haha! I'm not entirely sure either. I also enjoy the little ones! What I love about nursing is all the options we have and the clinicals will definitely help us narrow it down :)
