Hello Everyone!
I'm getting this forum started early for those who are applying to the UF College of Nursing's Accelerated Bachelors of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program!
Feel free to get the discussion going... How do you stand among others (GRE, GPA, etc)? Go Gators! :)
Yes my mail comes around 1 everyday because I live pretty close to the post office right by campus. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble before their mail came I thought today was the day too! Maybe some of you will have better luck than me and it will be there today.
USPS just came by and no letter here... Maybe letters didn't go out on Wednesday after all
The first thing I do after I hear about my status is complain. I mean its like they feel so privileged that they can waste our time. People who applied to ivy league schools already had interviews and knew their status. At this point im not even going to waste my time stalking the mail box. If they want to call themselves the Harvard of the south then they need to start acting like it.
Hi everyone,
I've been silently watching the forum and I just thought it was time to interject and ease some fears. I currently work as an Admissions Office at UF and work closely with UF's campus mail. On campus, mail is picked up twice a day. Most likely what happened with CON is that their last pick up did not meet campus mail's 12pm mail deadline. Campus mail delivers all outgoing mail to the big USPS on Archer by 3pm every single day. After picking up the mail at noon, campus mail will sort the mail, seal the mail, run the barcode, all before taking it all to the big USPS office by 3pm. If the mail is going presort (mail is sent out a a cheaper rate for nonprofit and state organizations), as most departments on campus are required to do, then if you don't get your mail to campus mail by noon, then your mail won't go out until the next day. We should keep in mind that mail goes from CON, to campus mail, to the sorting on archer, to Jacksonville, and then to our homes. It takes a while and is a process. For those of us who live in Gainesville, if we are yet to receive letters by Wednesday then I would say that it is fair to reach out to Ken again. As someone who works in a department, I understand the many steps so I implore us all to have a little bit more patience and know that there are many factors in play here. Best of luck to everyone!

I wonder if today is the day...!
But something I find weird is that based on previous forums, letters started arriving the day after it was announced that letters went out... I'm starting to wonder if letters really went out on Wednesday!
