Hello Everyone!
I'm getting this forum started early for those who are applying to the UF College of Nursing's Accelerated Bachelors of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program!
Feel free to get the discussion going... How do you stand among others (GRE, GPA, etc)? Go Gators! :)
Hey everyone, so I'm new to this post. Ive pretty much read all of it, but I'm still freaking out about admissions....
I have a 3.52 cumulative GPA, 3.8-3.9 upper division GPA (not really sure), and about a 3.4 pre-req GPA. I was two points shy on the verbal part of my GRE, but got more than what I needed on the math. As far as volunteering goes, I havent done much, but I have been working every summer. I got three recc letters: one academic, one professional, and one form a nursing internship I did in high school. Idk how all my stuff will stand up against other applicants and I'm freaking out because this is my second time applying. I didnt get in when I was a sophomore and was applying for the general program.
Has anyone heard any news at all? Good luck to all of you!
Hello everyone! Been MIA for awhile... did manage to get through the GRE in August but then in early Oct my girlfriend was involved in a near fatal motorcycle accident in CA...broke just about every bone but some how managed no organ or brain trauma. She just came home two weeks ago and has a long road ahead but has made so much progress already... just thankful she is still here. She made it clear very early on that she wanted me to continue this dream of becoming a nurse so I managed to complete my prerequisites and get my application submitted in time.
Like everyone else anxiously waiting to hear something. I also applied to JU and UNF both of which offered me an interview. First choice is UF but at this point just hoping to get in to a program!
We are on the final approach... good luck everyone! Hope to be stressing over exams, research papers, and all the rest with all of you at UF in 3 months!!

I apologize if my reply sounded offensive. I was trying to grasp an understanding of what you were trying to say.
Anyhow... the admissions is processing the applications so we should find out soon!
