Hi all!

It's pretty early on but I'd love to meet and chat with the potential applicants for this program. I also think it'd be great to have this forum in case we stumble upon application questions and such. Maybe some successful applicants in the past may pop in to say hello as well!

What are your feelings about this program or even UF in general? Are you applying to other programs? Where are you from?

I was accepted to the program in Jax and I'm looking for some roommates. I've been spending the day looking for apartments and figure that more people looking to live together could probably afford better living situations than single so if anyone is interested shoot me a message!

Posting for future applicants:

I was accepted into the ABSN program in Gainesville for the class of 2019 with these stats:

GPA: 3.56 (I had one C in organic chemistry so do not be discouraged if you have C's)

Undergrad Major/Minor: Health Sciences Pre-Clinical Major with Health Services Administration Minor, I took a lot of science classes that were not required for entry into the program which I think helped my application.

Volunteering: 100+ hours volunteering in a hospital and 100+ hours volunteering at a non profit.

Shadowing: 45 hours combined of shadowing a MD and his PA.

Job: steady job for 2+ years that is related to healthcare but not considered patient care experience.

Leadership: I was on an executive board for my sorority.

GPA is not everything when it comes to applying. Make your application diverse and volunteer!!!

I was waitlisted as well, I am just happy I was not rejected because I did not know what to expect with how competitive things are! I am trying to remain hopeful, we find out in 2 weeks on the 16th! I am dying to start nursing school and it would be amazing to do it at UF. Good luck and congrats to everyone who was accepted!
