UCSF Nurse Residency 10/2017

I wanted to start a thread for the UCSF Residency Program applicants. I recently applied and the application is open until 4/17/2017. These forums give me some piece of mind, Hopefully we can help eachother out!

I'm in their PICU and over heard that there's over 4000 applicants to the pediatric hospital with only 32 spots. Good luck everyone.

Uggh, I can't say I like those odds. If I get an interview it'll be like winning the lottery!

Holy...glad I just applied to NICU on the children's hospital side. Now I can just forget about it then.

I contacted both the adult and pediatrics recruiters about the RN Residency program a couple of weeks ago. The pediatrics program recruiter said that they will be reaching out this month and openings vary by unit (2-6 per unit). The adult program recruiter said that application screenings will be completed by early- to mid-May, and managers will review resumes and begin contacting candidates for interviews during this time. The hiring process will be completed by the end of June. She said if you do not hear back during those time frames, then you were not selected. Good luck everyone!

Per my BFF, UCSF has extended interviews for folks in L&D as of this past Friday... Good luck to those seeking a spot in their beautiful maternity unit.
