UCSF New Grad 2012

Thought I'd give you guys a heads up on the status of a new grad program at UCSF. They're gonna be definitely doing a new grad program both in peds and adults, with a start date of September.

The apps will be coming out sometime late may/june, so stay tuned!

hello,

Just curious how you found out. I've been working at UCSF as a PCA for a few years and keep checking in with my manager. I was originally told no new grad program would open up until winter 2012.

I recently ran into the nurse recruiter at a conference and I was told the same thing. UCSF will have a RN training program with a start date in sept although she told me the app would be available online in April.

yupp! theres still hope! They are going through switching to a new computer system, so after thats all sorted out I think they'll have a better idea of when the new grad apps will come out!

I've been on shift at UCSF for the last few days, and sure enough they are hiring through out the hospital! Neuro ICU, 10CVT, and Med/surg for sure. I also heard Peds is hiring!! Good luck to us all and keep your eyes peeled!

me too!! I think are just going to keep us guessing because there are NO dates posted anywhere. Other than in late May or June they might post but that does not help! err

When I spoke with the recruiter last (early April), she told me May. I actually just e-mailed her for an update, so we'll see what she says.

I'm so paranoid that I'm typing in the wrong search words or something!! And I don't trust the search agent thing because I swear that last year I set it up and I never got an e-mail, but then again, there may have not been a new grad program... Anyways, I just need some dates to have me relax.

I just graduated and my school told us about the new grad program (not sure how they know)...but I have the same info- that apps will be posted in May or June and the program will start in Sept.

Does anyone have info on which units will be part of the program? I am hoping for L&D, Postpartum, or NICU.
