UCSF New Grad Spring 2022

Updated:   Published

Hi all! Thought I would start this thread for the upcoming new grad cohort at UCSF for Spring 2022.

From what I've seen on the website, the application period opens on Saturday, January 8 and goes until Saturday, January 15. No lists of which departments are hiring this go around. Must have your license by March 4th. The program starts on April 4th.

I applied last go around, but I didn't have a test date yet. Hoping I can get in this time!

Good luck to all!

The email sounded like one at a time for 30 minutes but that could be wishful interpretation on my part! Multiple candidates at once is not my fav.

*One candidate at a time before a panel

That's what I thought, which would only be 16 people interviewing, but I feel that they would probably do 2 every 30 mins which would be 32 people. The Peds ED is only hiring 2 so that is a lot of people if that's the case.

If anyone is interested, UCSF added an additional unit and posted the job position for 7 Long!

Thank you for sharing!

Antepartum application went under review this morning.

Still haven't heard anything from any other departments.

For those who got an interview for adult clinics, what shift was it that you applied for? Mostly applied to Days and Variables. I'm getting really anxious.

Nice! May I ask when you applied to antepartum?

I applied right when the applications opened, I believe. If not a day or two after.

How did they reach out to you for an interview, phone, email? and what unit? I know their goal is to reach out by the end of the week for interviews and then it's a fast process after that.

Does this mean that they will be done with all the interview invites for ALL the units this week- or is this for adult units only?

I think that's the date they were given, I can try and get more info.

I received an email from the pediatric CICU to submit an intro video by Monday so maybe some pediatric units are still reaching out.

That would be great if you could get more info! Waiting is the worst.

I agree!  @oleenie please keep us updated! I'm at the edge of my seat and am near tears when I don't see a UCSF email. LOL (LOL-ing hides the pain).

Hey! What is the PCICU intro video? Is that technically part of an interview process? Just curious bc my app for that unit has been under review for a few days and I haven't heard anything.

I received a call yesterday for critical care towards the end of the day. Fingers crossed that we all still get more calls and emails!
