Hi all! Thought I would start this thread for the upcoming new grad cohort at UCSF for Spring 2022.
From what I've seen on the website, the application period opens on Saturday, January 8 and goes until Saturday, January 15. No lists of which departments are hiring this go around. Must have your license by March 4th. The program starts on April 4th.
I applied last go around, but I didn't have a test date yet. Hoping I can get in this time!
I just wanted to share my experience. I applied to UCSF the last day before the application was due. I only applied to adult oncology/BMT units because that’s the specialty I want to get into. I received a call Thursday evening and was scheduled an interview Monday at 10 AM. I just finished my interview! It was a mix of behavioral, situational, and clinical question through zoom for about 30-45 mins. They said they’re doing interviews all week for that unit and will make a decision by next week. I have too! I almost missed the 24 hour deadline because I was careless and deleted it without reading it. I was panicking with an hour before it hit 24 hours yesterday!

When you had you interview, did you ask them how many people they are hiring and how many they are interviewing? I forgot to ask but I was told that last Friday and this Monday were the only days for their interviews, on this fl in particular.

I know someone else who interviewed and he said he asked and they were hiring 4! That’s a pretty good amount! Good luck! Keep me updated they should decide by next week!
hmmm, I am not sure.... I applied for the re-entry program but I think the interviews were pretty similar?! I just wished I had more time to prepare. :[ but still, best luck to us. Keep me posted on your end as well!

Same! I wonder if you’re gonna be counted as a new grad too! I hope we both get it
im laughing because...... nobody made eye contact with us during and they were like k NEXT k NEXT..... may as well had us submit a video so they could filter through. and the way they were scrambling all their papers -__-

I agree. Maybe it was a different experience for yesterday’s group. That definitely didn’t feel good as an interviewer. Probably the worst experience I have had with an interview panel.

They only asked 1 question for you guys? Ours felt fast too yesterday so don’t worry. There’s still hope.

they didn't ask us what they told us to prepare in the email at all which was a little discouraging. they asked two different variations of the first question and then the stress one.
