I am starting this thread to keep everyone informed as to the process at UCSF 2012 New Grad Training Program.

If you don't mind me asking, what unit were you contacted for?

The nurse recruiter said that she would be in contact with me soon with the information about the interview time/date. I called today and left a message, so i'll keep you updated with the info.

yup i got called but it's weird cause i didn't get any skills survey for reference check. I only had that for UCLA app.

Has anyone received a call to interview for the orthopedic unit ? I know someone on FB got called but declined.

Just a question for people getting interviews--

When you applied, did you request a specific unit in your cover letter, or did they match you based on where your preceptorship was gone? I know that depending on what you applied to (adult acute, adult critical, etc.) there were a variety of units...

I was called for an interview for their hem/onc/bmt unit. I preceptored on that unit and it was my first choice. I also applied to all the adult units and the peds hem/onc unit but was not chosen for an interview for those.

Today is supposedly the last day for a call right?? Anyone have any updates on peds acute care?

A classmate of mine accepted a job offer in the ortho unit, was external. So good luck every one and follow up with the nurse recruiter!!!

btw, is it just me or does no one get through to the nurse recruiter??
