UCSF New Grad Program 2023 Questions

Hello all, 

I am at the last semester of the ABSN program at Samuel Merritt. I'm expecting to graduate in early Jan and plan to take the NCLEX early Feb and no later than late Feb. I would like to know the timeline for applying to UCSF's nursing new grad Spring program 2023. Any past experiences with UCSF to share will be greatly appreciated. 

Has anyone heard or interviewed with PICU?

Does anyone know if ICN has finished sending out emails for the 2nd round of interviews??

2nd round of interviews already happened. People are waiting for 3rd round emails. Someone mentioned earlier that they got an email for 3rd round

Does anyone know how the SkillSurvey works with UCSF?

I provided more than 3 references, but it's been 36 hours and one hasn't responded yet. Will this look bad?

I think as long as 3 respond, you're okay- maybe try resending the link to them and remind the person

I was told (at least for my unit?) that the references writers must complete the references by Monday...

hey folks, I'm posting this question for my friend. one of my friends hasn't gotten an interview yet since the email was sent about forwarding applications and it's pretty weird that she hasn't heard anything.

Is anyone else in the same boat?

I was lucky that my references responded within 24 hours. I just kept texting and emailing and calling them to fill it out LOL. If one reference of yours still isn't filling it out, I would say put another or just let UCSF know. It's not your fault if they don't respond ya know?

Yes, I know someone that made it past Round 1 interviews but was never called back for a second. It really sucks that they do that because it gives you hope and then you never hear from them again. I am guessing that they don't want to turn people away to quickly in case things do not work out with other interviewees (since people may potentially back out and accept other offers or not interview well).. but still.

In any case, I feel for those that are in that position and am wishing you the best of luck. I was told that interviews are spilling into week three (and not just for ICN) so it's not over till it's over!

I was just wondering if anyone had more than 1 round of interviews with a unit for the adult departments? I only had one with my unit
