UCSF new grad fall 2021

has anyone heard about UCSF's october 2021 application dates yet? and can you apply to the children hospital on this app also?

Hey so usually they interview a few ppl. Then they will ask for references from a few of the few that they interview. And then they make decisions from that. I do know of one unit that did do peer interviews as well as the skills survey aka reference check. For the unit I interviewed with they only have 2 spots. I got the reference check but not everyone did. So, it basically means I am still in the running. And I'm sure it means the same for you. Good luck!

Howd your interviews go! Is it just me or was most of the staff fairly quiet / non reactive during the interview?

I think it depends on the department. The three people that interviewed me were very nice.. it felt like a conversation.

I felt the same way too. For my interview, the managers seemed to smile and nod throughout the whole thing but I wasn’t sure if it was them just being polite ? or if they actually agreed with what I said. But there was no like back and forth conversation between questions.. they would ask the question, I would answer, and we’d move on from there to the next question

OKAY SAME I interviewed with Peds cardiac ICU?? This was my second interview but this time with staff nurses! There were about 6 total? And I’d say about 3-4 were interactive but the other two quiet ? given the time crunch I also felt like it was hard to make it a conversation type interview! 20 minutes goes by very quickly LOL

I think they are told to not interact too much, that way they keep it neutral for everyone. But yeah it gives me stress not knowing if they were actually interested in my answers ? but good luck to you and everyone else still waiting on their offer/ interview calls!
