has anyone heard about UCSF's october 2021 application dates yet? and can you apply to the children hospital on this app also?

Yeah, I'm starting to lose hope over here for this cohort. I'll be applying again for the March cohort! At least I know I'll have my license by then and not be stressing over my ATT, too.

Be ready with a couple clinical scenarios that you can use to answer behavioral questions. They really like those. Also be ready to talk about why you want that unit/why UCSF/why you became a nurse. It's nothing out of the ordinary, so you should do well if you're prepared ?

I interviewed for surg onc and I saw on the other thread that someone did get their reference request email already. My interview was last week and they haven't sent it yet but they said they would send it at least by Friday I believe. No clue if this is good or bad LOL.

Hi everyone! I just interviewed today with adult Hem/Onc and was sent the email to fill out my references within that same hour of the interview. I did prep before my interview so I highly recommend doing so bc I felt like it helped a ton. Best of luck to everyone!!

What does it mean if they send out an email asking for references after the interview, are we hired?

Hey so usually they interview a few ppl. Then they will ask for references from a few of the few that they interview. And then they make decisions from that. I do know of one unit that did do peer interviews as well as the skills survey aka reference check. For the unit I interviewed with they only have 2 spots. I got the reference check but not everyone did. So, it basically means I am still in the running. And I'm sure it means the same for you. Good luck!
