I applied for UCSF MEPN for 2022! Anyone else going crazy waiting for an interview invite? Has anyone gotten an interview invite?
hi everyone! I'm a MEPN and I can share some interview tips.
1) practice!! This doesn't mean memorizing, but you want to practice the words before the big day so that you feel somewhat familiar with them AND you don't want to be super rambly!
2) Really think about why you applied to your specific specialty - why this one and not another? Be ready to give specific examples.
3) Why do you want to be a nurse? What was your process?
4) wear something that makes you feel confident. You definitely don't need to wear a blazer or a ton of make-up.
5) be yourself!! they already want you - the interview is to seal the deal :)
6) The format is actually great and it feels like a conversation, not a job interview. They really want you to succeed and do well, so they'll do their best to help you feel relaxed.
good luck! and those of you waiting for financial aid package from UCSF before accepting or declining other offers - tbh, don't even bother. everyone gets loans and financial aid info is available till late May/early June. Definitely an inconvenience.

Hi, thanks for your help. Noticed in your post history you are PMHNP. Any advice for this specialty in particular? How did you explain why psych was the best fit for you?

I think it is fine since they asked us to leave the meeting room to end the interview in the email. If there are any other applicants who did differently, please let us know!
How was interview? Was it like a conversation rather than job interview? I can't wait for my interview which is on Friday : )
I am sure you did a great work!
