Hi everyone! I noticed on the MEPN site that initial invitation to interview and initial deny letters are historically sent out the second week of December. Hoping we hear something this week! Good luck to all

Hello Everyone, 

 

My name is Fatema and I have also applied for the UCSF 2021 MEPN Cycle w/ specialty chosen as Pediatrics. I had fulfilled all requirements except the credit for examination ( since my stats class was 3+yrs), I signed up for a exam for 12/12 . Unfortunately, I contracted Covid 19 on December 1st and am a front line worker as a medical assistant. I wish everyone the very best and hope things work out for all !

OMG I remember reading that the interviews will be announced the second week of December when I first applied. I just checked the website and now it says mid to late December. Why cant they just tell us ?? Good luck everyone!

I saw they changed that in the last two days too! I swear it said "second week of December" two days ago. I definitely understand though, the pandemic has made things extra crazy and I feel like this application cycle has been extra challenging to get through. Kudos to everyone for hanging in there!

Yeah, you are right. I just called UCSF and the receptionist said we probably won't hear anything until January because of the pandemic which is understandable but still sucks to have to wait LOL. I'm hoping we get some answers sooner though! At least I can try to forget about it for a couple of weeks.

Yikes, January is a long wait!! I understand though; communications with them have been rough this year so I figured they were busy. I have heard they have a huge influx of applicants for MEPN this cycle.

Does anyone know when they'll sent out final decisions by? Only because if interviews are coming mid to late december, I'm assuming final decisions will be sometime in January-February.. and January is when we have to send final decisions for the schools we got accepted to...
