UCSD 2014 Summer New Grad Applicants

Hi all!!

I wanted to start a thread for those who applied to the UCSD 2014 summer new grad RN program. I applied to 2 Med/Surg departments and according to HR, by the end of this week they will forward the lucky applicants to the appropriate departments for interviews. Yicks!!!

Has anyone on here also applied and has your application status changed from "open"?

I applied for almost all of the positions... I did an externship in ICU and preceptorship in step-down so I don't know where my best chances are. I applied for BMT, IMU, two ED positions, 3 med-surg, and the CCU position!! Here's to hoping I get my first interview soon!! Good luck everyone :D

Hello everyone! I applied to the med/surg specialties on 5/5 and my app status changed to "routed to hiring department" and I also just applied for the BMT so my app status still says "open". Good luck to you all!! Keep us updated with status changes and interviews please.

Violetsmom don't say that! I spoke with HR today and the lady told me they aren't done reviewing all apps and contacting people. Put your game face back on!!:sneaky: You're still in this

I applied to most of them and I got an rejection email for perinatal "others more competitive" 2-3 days after I applied =\ but I am still hoping for the best for the other units. good luck everyone!

Hi everyone!

I applied to 6 postings; NICU says "other more competitive…", and 11 West Med/Surg is the only one that says referred to hiring department 5/15. I haven't received any calls/info from the hiring department though. Grrr….

I called HR last week and they said they had over 2,200 applicants!! How is my application suppose to stand out with so many applicants?

Hello everyone!

Does anyone know the actual start dates for these positions? All I know is that it is in July.

I received an email today for the Perinatal NICU/FMCC position- they want me to answer a few questions via email and they will be deciding who will be invited for an interview by May 30. Interviews will be held in the first couple weeks of June.
