UCSD New Grad Residency August 2023

Published

Hello everyone! Just thought I would start this thread for those applying to UCSD's new grad residency program starting this August! I know the job listing should be posted within the next week or so (:

I got a call for PCU/Tele interview. Is anyone else doing an in-person interview? This panel interview style is kind of intimidating!

congrats!! ? when they called, did they ask you questions or just schedule for the interview?

Does anyone know how the ranking is considered in applications? Has everyone who has been called been scheduled with their first choice? Thanks!

Congrats everyone! Has anyone heard from L&D yet?

Hi, I still haven't!

Specializes in ICU.

Has anyone been at these hospitals? Any insight on the culture? overall environment ?

Did anyone apply to PACU?

I feel like I'm gonna get rejected bc people have already been called for ICU and ER and I haven't ?

The gate keeping is real as to what questions are asked in that phone call.  LOL

For those that have scheduled interviews what is the date range?

I applied for L&D.  No phone call yet.  Just the email that stated referred to hiring.

I interviewed with oncology this past week. I know PCU and tele are interviewing this week along with PACU. The initial phone call is questions about you and your experiences.

It was my second choice. I've worked as a CNA in the PACU for 2 years and did my preceptorship there and I haven't heard anything.
