UCSD New Grad (FMCC/NICU/Perinatal Program) 2013

Hi, everyone! I am starting this thread to see if anyone out there has applied to- and possibly interviewed with- UCSD earlier in November for their new grad perinatal program (or for another program if you would like to share too). I applied and had an interview earlier this week and am trying my best to wait patiently, but knowing I'm not waiting alone would be nice :)

Has anyone heard from them in regards to checking up on references? I had my interview yesterday, and they said they would be sending the reference e-mail sometime today. They will be making their final decisions by early next week (Monday). The wait is killing me! Please someone, respond!

I interviewed too on Monday and they said it would take till Mon, 12/17 for them to get back to everyone. I received the references link later in the day after the interview and sent them out the same day. Crossing my fingers for us all!

My application still says "Open" . I don't remember seeing when the program starts, but if we applied for this one does it only start in January?

I got an offer, but rejected because I got one from somewhere else sooner! So someone else can take my spot!!

How much of a factor do you think your nursing school GPA had on the hiring process? I'm wondering if they look more at clinical hours and rotations than the GPA.
