UCONN Spring 2022 CEIN/BS Program

Published

Hi guys,

Looking for some information about the application requirements for UCONN's Spring 2022 CEIN/BS program.  NursingCAS says you can have 3 outstanding pre-reqs at the time you submit your application.  Their website says two.  Anyone gotten in touch with admissions to clear this up?

Also, they ask for proof of enrollment for any outstanding pre-reqs.  This is particularly confusing if you plan to take pre-reqs in Fall 2021.  How can you provide proof of enrollment before a June 15 application deadline, if enrollment periods haven't even started for fall 2021?

Congrats! I put waterbury as my first choice, kind of nervous since I am finishing my fourth prerequisite class in order to apply. Would you mind sharing your stats and when you applied?

hey! I applied in december. I might be a bit of an outlier just because I know they wait a little if your degree is not yet conferred. I have a 3.92 GPA and am graduating with my psych degree may 9.

Just heard back and I was accepted to the waterbury campus!!

Congratz!

I just received my letter from UCONN. I got in! Ill be going to the Waterbury campus.

Did anyone who was accepted submit the $1000 deposit yet?

also do you know what the next step is after accepting? Thank you.

Hi all! I recently submitted my application and am waiting for my transcripts to be received in NursingCAS. Does anyone know if my application will be on hold until they are received? I did enter all of my grades accurately through transcript entry. Also, any idea when the next review date will be? Thanks!

Hey everyone!

Definitely feeling very late to the game. I currently have a bachelors in psychology from CCSU and am applying for the 2022 cohort. I have not submitted my application yet, does anyone know if your chances of getting accepted are less likely if you submit right near the deadline? I am also finishing up prerequisites and I am working full-time as as surgical scheduler. The whole process makes me very nervous! I'd really like to hear about everyone else's backgrounds and their experiences in their application processes.

Hi Nicole,

I attended an info session and Shea stated that your chances are not lowered by applying late towards the deadline. The only thing it might affect is which campus you may want to attend. She mentioned that Storrs and Waterbury fill up the fastest, so it might be in your best interest to apply to all campuses if you are able.

I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Management in May 2021 and am taking my last pre req during the Summer, so I applied with one outstanding course. I submitted my application at the end of May and it was verified in NursingCas last week. I’m also so nervous and am waiting to hear back! I was told it takes about 4-6 weeks for a decision!

Best of luck!

Awesome. Also how long did it take for your application status to go from complete to verified. I applied on June 11, I know its still early but it seems as if people got their application verified fairly quickly within a week or two.
