UCONN Spring 2022 CEIN/BS Program

Published

Hi guys,

Looking for some information about the application requirements for UCONN's Spring 2022 CEIN/BS program.  NursingCAS says you can have 3 outstanding pre-reqs at the time you submit your application.  Their website says two.  Anyone gotten in touch with admissions to clear this up?

Also, they ask for proof of enrollment for any outstanding pre-reqs.  This is particularly confusing if you plan to take pre-reqs in Fall 2021.  How can you provide proof of enrollment before a June 15 application deadline, if enrollment periods haven't even started for fall 2021?

Hi - you can have 3 outstanding pre-reqs (I currently have 3 outstanding and just got accepted -woohoo!).

I do not know how to prove enrollment for courses you plan to take in Fall2020 - I am taking all three of mine this semester.

I would email [email protected] in the CEIN admissions office.

She is very responsive and knowledgeable.

I am currently a senior at UConn and I applied with one outstanding prereq back in December. I haven't heard back still and it's making me sad. My grades for my prereqs are all As and I think my app materials were strong, but the waiting is the worst.

Have you tried contacting the school?  I think they try to send out responses within 4-6 weeks of application....

Yeah I did! They said if you have a pending degree (I won't have my bachelor's until May given I am a senior RN), they might hold off on accepting you until conferral or will wait until a few weeks before graduation as long as your grades are still good and whatnot. I am hoping for waterbury campus. just hate waiting and not having any idea when I'll hear.

I heard back from the admissions committee and they will be meeting again next Wednesday. good luck to everyone waiting to hear back!

Hey guys, hope all is well and that you all hear back soon.

I'm a little late with submitting my application because I already have an offer from another school, but UCONN is my dream school.

Hopefully I find out before the start of fall semester.

Anyone know if they still look at my application if one of my reference is still pending? I spoke to a previous professor and she plans to do it, she is just busy right now.

Congratulations! When did you submit your application and how long did it take for you to hear back? I will be applying in two weeks once I am done with my 4th prerequisite like you. A bit nervous

Hey guys! I know the committee met today, so hopefully if your app is verified/completed already you should hear back by tomorrow! I’m waiting for a decision and I’m so nervous!

That's awesome. Hopefully you guys heard back. I'm still missing a reference (Professor agreed to do it, but she is taking forever) so I don't know if they will even look at my application.

Just heard back and I was accepted to the waterbury campus!!

Congrats! I put waterbury as my first choice, kind of nervous since I am finishing my fourth prerequisite class in order to apply. Would you mind sharing your stats and when you applied?
