UConn CEIN/BS 2017

U.S.A. Connecticut

Hi all,

I saw a great thread from last year about UConn's 2016 CEIN/BS applicant pool and thought I'd start a new thread for applicants in the 2017 cycle.

I applied for the January 31st deadline. Based on everything I read on last year's thread, I'm thinking I'll hear back anytime between the first week of March and the last week of April - trying to stay patient! I am still working on 2 prerequisite courses but they should be done at the end of March. We'll see how the outstanding courses may affect my decision date. Stamford is my first choice for campus since I currently live/work in NYC and it's not too far away from where I currently am.

I'm excited to hear from anyone else applying to the program and what your application experience is like. Good luck to everyone!

There was a little mishap with the letter they sent me - so they emailed prior to me receiving it. Letters are in the mail though...so I would think that they would arrive tomorrow or Saturday.

I have a bachelors in Sociology, a masters in Organizational Psychology and I have worked in Population Health for Yale New Haven Health system for 5 years. My prerequisites were all A's aside from A&P 2, which I got a B.

Not worth comparing anything though! We are all bringing such different things to the table - that's why I was drawn to this cohort! Everyone has a different story - and I'm convinced that as long as we had the minimum grades for applying, then the rest was based on heart!

Excited for you to get your news. Which campus did you apply to?

and to be clear - I actually thought the mishap happened with EVERYONE, so I assumed we all got emails. Sorry to have rained on anyone's day!!! If I knew that no one else had heard...I would not have posted! SORRY!

I got an email too!! But for waterbury campus... Im just hoping it was correctly emailed bc it didnt have my name on it directly!!! Ahh so exciting but stressful!

I still haven't heard anything. No mail and no email. congrats to those of you who got in!!

Letter came today. In for Waterbury :) Congrats to those who have already heard and fingers crossed for those still waiting!

Hi everyone!

My name is Ariana and i just recently graduated from UConn with a degree in Allied Health Sciences. I decided I wanted to become a nurse to late to change my major so my advisor suggested i graduate in three years and do this program as my fourth! I live in between the Storrs campus and Avery Point Campus, but Storrs is my first choice since I lived on campus for three years and am very comfortable there. I still have not heard back, but I'm getting anxious. I hope I know soon! I did extremely well at UConn, but since I am just graduating I do not have much experience in the healthcare field so I hope that does not hurt me in terms of getting into the program. I do have my EMT certification and am CPR certified but thats about it. Good luck to everyone!! Feel free to message me if you are also applying to the Storrs campus!

Accepted at Waterbury campus! Congrats to everyone! Looking forward to 2017!

Got accepted into Storrs! Everyone who didn't hear back yet, she was still mailing out letters yesterday so don't worry just wait!!!

Congrats!! that's my first choice!

I just found out about my acceptance to the Avery point campus, I live in Bozrah an that's right in the middle of AP an storrs campus! Good luck to anyone applying for the other deadlines!
