UConn CEIN/BS 2017

U.S.A. Connecticut

Published

Hi all,

I saw a great thread from last year about UConn's 2016 CEIN/BS applicant pool and thought I'd start a new thread for applicants in the 2017 cycle.

I applied for the January 31st deadline. Based on everything I read on last year's thread, I'm thinking I'll hear back anytime between the first week of March and the last week of April - trying to stay patient! I am still working on 2 prerequisite courses but they should be done at the end of March. We'll see how the outstanding courses may affect my decision date. Stamford is my first choice for campus since I currently live/work in NYC and it's not too far away from where I currently am.

I'm excited to hear from anyone else applying to the program and what your application experience is like. Good luck to everyone!

Hi mandii

If you look at the blog from last year a couple of people did mention a waitlist as well as someone getting in like a week before the program started! Goodluck!

E1luna who did you speak to?

When I call the program they tell me that I will get a decision in the mail. I wonder why they tell some over the phone and others they do not. This makes me worried I hope I do not receive a rejection.

Hi all! I called today and was told waitlist, too. It's for Stamford so I'm hoping I have a shot! I have a toddler so I'm hoping to find out soon so I can arrange his care. I'm going to search the blog and see if I can find other posts about being waitlisted! Good luck everyone.

Hello everyone!

yeah!! glad to see some other avery pointers! we should make sure to meet up at the orientation in october.

Did any of you write toefl exams? Did you make the required scores or no?

Congrats to all those who were accepted. I am a student in the current cohort. It has been a long road. It will be worth it in the end but do not think it will be easy. There were numerous "bugs" that had to be worked out this year. Enjoy your free time before the program starts up after the New Year, you will miss it.

Hello All! I applied for the second round and had a transcript mishap (registrars fault) and wasn't able to get in due to that. I spoke with the women who does the applications two days ago and she said I am on the waiting list for the 3rd round......does anyone know about how many people they go through on average?? I know other schools go through a good amount but I want the Avery Point Campus which doesn't seem to be the favorite or so they have told me. Anyone who got in the 3rd round get any paperwork yet?

Hello, i applied for the June review but got pushed back to august. I got my letter of acceptance the day after labor day. Submitted my acceptance and got my net id and student email set up. And just sent in my deposit which needed to be received by the 22nd of this month. Goodluck!

Found out yesterday (on my birthday, no less) I'm accepted!! Yay!
