Hey guys, just thought I'd create our own thread so it'll be easier for us to communicate with each other without having to read through all the updates on the other units. Good luck to us all!
yes it was.
i felt that it went horrible. you try to be prepared and then suddenly in the moment you feel unprepared and stumble. thats how i felt.
but i survived! haha
anyways pointers:
BE YOURSELF! i know we're all nervous a job is riding on this interview, but breathe in confidence and breathe out nervousness. and just remember to be yourself.
the interview is about personality and if you will fit well with the unit and the kind of person the UD is looking for.
so be confident. and be yourself.
and don't forget your list of questions to ask. i tried to ask how many new grads she's planning to hire, and was told there were 10 spots total for new grads and exp. m/s
this is what i've been telling myself all day.
if it doesn't work out, it wasn't meant to be, means it wasn't the unit/hospital for me to thrive in. be yourself
so goodluck! and remember we were one of the few to make it this far! that's an accomplishment in itself =)
Thanks to you all! I had my second interview with her today. It felt like the first interview, just a few more "get to know you" questions. So don't bother reading over your patho or pharm, none of that stuff was asked. After her questions, she tells you about the new grad program and gives you a tour of the unit. She said that we'd hear back in about 2-3 weeks, most likely 2 weeks.
It wasn't too bad. I felt like she was just trying to get a better feel of what we're like and how she thinks we'd fit in with the unit. Don't be nervous! It really wasn't that horrible.
Good luck to you all! :)
