UCLA New Grad RN Winter 2014

Published

I've been checking on and off since midnight for the new grad RN positions to open. It appears as though the positions usually open around midnight (based on previous allnurses threads). Just wondering if if I'm the only one who can't seem to find the job posts? I've been up for the last 48 hours trying to reedit my resume and cover letter, so that is totally possible. :)

Hi everyone is this program is just for new grad with BSN only? I really wanna to apply next summer. However, I I just had my ADN. :(

I believe it's BSN preferred! So you can still apply :)

Question: What do you guys think about contacting HR to ask when calls will be made? I know in the papers we got to take home one of them said not to contact the directors but to contact HR for follow up questions. I don't want to bother HR, but I still want to show them that I'm interested. Thoughts?

I was sitting in the HR office yesterday waiting for my interview, and I overheard the people getting all annoyed at all the calls they were getting. I really don't think it will help to call HR, and I didn't the sense that they pass on to the directors who is calling. I think they just assume that we all are interested.

Good luck to you, RN5976! It is really hard to wait!

Thank you so much boojum! And good luck to you too! But I totally understand. I feel like this waiting game for UCLA is one of the most stressful moments out of my entire job hunt so far haha. I do know interviews for other units are still going on this week. I think this may be the last week of interviews, so hopefully they'll start making calls by next week!

I feel like with smaller hospitals or if you frequently have direct contact with a manager (not hr) it's fine to follow up. With large programs you're probably just making their jobs more annoying and not really helping. You're another nobody when you're in a pool of 1k+ applicants.

I agree. I know that they are still interviewing. I believe up until next week too! The manager on the CTICU gave us her direct email to contact with any questions, but I think its best to wait, considering that they are still interviewing.

Thanks for your guys' input! I guess I'll just have to be patient. Will let you guys know if I hear from them. Good luck everyone!

Interviewed at CTICU last Wednesday - don't know when they will start calling back - I haven't gotten the nicely written email about them not being interested - you know - aka kick in the butt - so I guess it's a "good" sign lol

I just finish reading Facebook post on the hiring process for UCLA, Thanx!!!! - and well my eyes pop-out of my sockets - what is this "WITCHCRAFT" about a 2nd interview? I just only got one for CTICU (with that said, anyone with CTICU info is greatly appreciated) anyone got a 2nd call from CTICU? (was there such a thing?) I am running around like a chicken with out a head HERE lol (I have other hospitals on the back burner, but crazy INTERESTED for UCLA) - still waiting for a call, and I don't want to end up like the story about the "dog with the two hamburgers" (what happen you ask???? The dog got neither!!!) *__*

I think the date is in February. I am also waiting for my license to be endorsed and am starting to get worried! I called the state again on Friday, and they said they are four weeks behind. But I called UCLA recruitment and they said we do not need to bring a copy of license to interview.

Hey nynurse! What date did you submit your endorsement? I'm in the same situation

They said they would let us know in about two weeks right? So that would be Tuesday. I'm not feeling very positive about it though because they seemed a little nervous about my license not being endorsed yet :( CA State board is slow.

Hey cchopeful! What date did you submit the endorsement?

Has anyone heard back regarding 7east?

cticu made calls tonight for those wondering.

Has anyone heard anything regarding 8 East?
