UCLA New Grad RN Summer 2025

Hey guys! I'm starting this thread for the Summer 2025 Cohort at UCLA. Hopefully we can update each other on application processes, interviews, and job offers!

I haven't seen anyone on here mention getting an interview for med surg/tele either. I know from previous cohorts it seemed like the interview invite process was a long one but who knows. It's hard to maintain hope but until the 13th I'm gonna keep a tiny flicker of hope alive LOL 

Hi when I applied, all of the med surgs combined hired like maybe 10 people. And then places like Liver ICU hired a lot of people like 6 to 8 people each cohort LOL. So I think if I apply again, I'd apply ICU since they hire so many more people

Hi. Has anyone interviewed for MICU or medsurg? I applied to MICU- Ronald Regan & Med Surg/Telemetry - Ronald Reagan or Santa Monica Or West Valley.. 3 weeks ago I received an email that my application was sent to hiring managers. But I have not received anything for an interview yet.

I applied to MICU & PICU. I got the same email but still havent received anything for an interview yet.

Hi there, yes, it seems like they sent out interview invites around the second week of April. I received an interview with 4MICU and 5MN PCU around that time.

Has anyone heard anything about the UC hiring freeze affecting UCLA? We were notified today that UCSD is cancelling its new grad cohort. I hope that this will not be the case for UCLA. Confused since interviews are still scheduled...

Hello! I haven't heard anything yet and my interview is still scheduled for UCLA. For UCSD, are they hiring no new grads at all for August? Or is it only for certain departments?

Same, I have an interview in the NICU next week, and it is still scheduled. It sounds like no new grads at all for August at UCSD- they said "UCSD New Grad August 2025 cohort is cancelled due to federal funding, state budget reductions, and alterations in payor reimbursement rates."

Dang ;-; Thank you for the confirmation and hopefully the other UC new grad programs don't get cancelled

waitttt im so confused because 2 weeks ago I got an email that my applications were forwarded to the hiring managers. I haven't received anything about them being cancelled yet

I know many hospitals are going through a hiring freeze. My app was also sent to a hiring manager, but from what I've heard, they're mainly hiring internal due to this freeze. I hope this isn't the case but it's from what I've heard 😞
