(I'll graduate May 2025 out of state, coming back to L.A.)
CloCloAA,
My daughter was in the UCLA Summer 2022 cohort. She attended nursing school out of state, direct entry BSN program. She applied, interviewed and was offered residency in her first choice department at UCLA. She had offers from Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic and Johns Hopkins as well, none of these hospitals are in the state where she went to school. I think the strength of the program, a Summer externship and senior Capstone, both in her desired specialty, are what made her an attractive candidate to all of these hospitals. She completed a Summer externship at a prominent Boston Hospital.

Hi in the offer letter it says you will receive more information via email a week prior to orientation. I would reach out to HR or your unit manager or the orientation leaders listed in the offer letter. I haven't heard anything either

Thank you! Just saw that. Guess we'll be hearing in the next 2 days

I received a call from the Critical Care Educator. She told me to expect an email by Thursday or late Friday afternoon. She also stated that first day is usually done via zoom. Also, just a heads up, she said our first week will be really busy (Monday to Friday) and we will have to go to Santa Monica location for 2 days for their simulation center (she said to pack food/snacks) and to wear our uniform.

Awesome thanks!!
Hi guys. For anyone doing the EMR online training on 17 and 18, did you guys receive 2 separate emails for the zoom links? And are the links they sent the same zoom link or different for each day?
I emailed Care Connect that I received 2 emails but both for the 18th, hence the same zoom link. They ended up sending me separate link for the 17th. I'm wondering if everyone got the same thing? Thank you

For sure! medsurg always needs people. Although ICU is an amazing place to start, I feel like new grads have better chances to be hired at the medsurg unit
