Just got an update on my portal saying "reviewed- alternate selected"

I applied for ortho Santa Monica and my status also says "reviewed, alternate selected" haha

Anybody know how many spots each ICU offered? Really curious to see which ICUs took more applicants..

Very curious too. Just astonishing that MICU had 2 spots, but interviewed 20 people. Should have kept it small. I feel like liver took the most applicants.

When I asked at the end of my interview (LT ICU) they said it depends but usually between 8-12.

MICU has hired 4 in each of the last 4 cohorts (Summer '22 onward).  Surprised to hear they were only planning to hire 2, although they are losing quite a few nurses in the coming months, with 5 or 6 headed to CRNA school this fall.

Did anyone here who got into the UCLA new-grad residency program attend nursing school out of state? I'm wondering if that lessens my chances.

(I'll graduate May 2025 out of state, coming back to L.A.)
