Hi guys! The application for UCLA's new grad program is opening up soon so I created this for us to connect and post updates ?

@newgrad272 Yes they did. They acknowledge that they received my email and would take it into consideration.

who did you send the email too? I'm worried and thinking about doing the same thing to open up the chances of landing an interview ?

did anyone apply to PICU and if yes, did your application turn to "in review"?

Mine says submitted too! commented so I could follow this thread ?

my application status changed to "sent to hiring manager"! I'm also curious if that means we are in a smaller pool of applicants now.

Congrats! Any other ED applicants that got their status changed? Mine still says submitted. I'm wondering if they have internal candidates that have applied for the position.

I applied for the ED and am out of state; I got an email saying my application was "sent to the hiring manager."

Same here! Did you have a preceptorship in a neuro ICU?

No I was on a neuro medsurg floor but I did tech on a neuro trauma unit!

Hi! Made an account so I can comment on this forum :)

I applied to Adult ICU at Santa Monica. My status says "in review"

Anyone else apply to Adult ICU?

Did anyone who applied for psych have their status changed from submitted?

My app is under review as well. People who's status has changed, how long was your app 'under review?'

Thanks for offering! Any idea how many people they will take on? And which units?

Yes of course! All the units taking new grads were listed in the application. There may be changes depending on availability of preceptors/resources and other factors. Talent Acquisition didn't specify how many new grads will be hired in total for this cohort + how many per unit, unfortunately (sorry!)

Talent Acquisition just said that they just forward all eligible applications to management and it's ultimately up to management to decide the amount they want to hire.
