Hi guys! The application for UCLA's new grad program is opening up soon so I created this for us to connect and post updates ?

My app says in review and was last modified 05/18 as well… I wish they’d just close the app if they’re not considering us anymore ?

You are so right!!! Its been making me crazy not knowing. I been emailing them and was nervous about emailing them because I don't want them to be annoyed with me LOL. I would just like to know if I am being considered or not. It would make it easier to know if they gave us a better update.

I think we are all anticipating an update soon. However, based on the email that I received from HR, it sounded like they are all going to compile it all at once and will start making offers to those who are selected in each unit. I think this is why each department have different timelines of interviews. However, it sounded like they are still need to make sure that their selection is completed by the date posted on their site which is like 6/10 or earlier. If you notice, some folks got interview as early as beginning of May. 

Does anyone know when the Summer Cohort starts? When I asked how many are going to be offered for this cohort, they didn't say how many but varies by department.

I interviewed yesterday and received an invite for a 2nd interview today for next week. So I'm assuming that some (not all) are doing second interviews.

The official start date I received is Sept 19th. We have a few onboarding things before like a drug test and paperwork.

Do you know when you have to do the physical and drug test ??

They said that occupational health will reach out to schedule these so I'm not sure

Does anyone have insight on what the interview was like? Like was it behavioral questions or were there hypotheticals and case study types?

Hey! 

I didn't get any situational questions, mainly behavioral and your typical why psych, what do I expect, how do I work in a team setting! I was interviewed by two people and they were both very nice! Best of luck to you hope it goes well!

They asked me why UCLA? How do you deal with conflict? Strengths and weaknesses and difficult situations at work and how do I deal with it. Hope this helps whoever is next!
