I am applying for the UCLA APRN/ MSN for Fall 2019. I am applying for the FNP program. I decided to create this discussion page as an avenue for other applicants to share their application process and also to serve as an update ask.
Wishing you all the best with the application process.
For everyone who’s wondering, I got tentatively admitted to the FNP program with the following:
BSN from UC Irvine GPA 3.59
Float Pool - 2 years experience
Psych - 1 year experience
Daisy Award Recipient
1st generation college student
I have a really good relationship with my manager, supervisor and charge nurse so I assume they wrote a strong letter of rec for me. I would say I’m an above average writer and spent over a month editing and proofreading my statement of purpose. I also attended their info session back in September.
Good luck everyone still waiting to hear back and congrats to those who received their admission recommendation email!

Thanks! I got into Adult/Gero Acute Care and my last name begins with M.

@VXM Shoot. Totally missed that... I figured I wasn't eligible! I didn't really consider grants/scholarships/fellowships until the e-mail. Hopefully it's not too late under these circumstances.
Hang in there @Pushing_Daisies My last name begins with the letter A, so I thought maybe that might be the case! (Plus I had JUST got done reading previous classes' DB posts and that was one of their theories).
@jaylesso24, thanks for sharing your stats. I'm having some impostor syndrome going on... That helps to confirm, I think I'm OK! Ha.
Looks like older classes started an FB page, shall we?

I asked the director of financial aid and he said to go ahead and apply for fafsa by end on this month and it should be fine.
