UCLA, CHLA, or Cedars Sinai?

U.S.A. California

I’m in the final stages of interviewing for CHLA, UCLA, and Cedars Sinai. In the event I get an offer from all 3 hospitals, I was wondering which hospital is the best in terms of pay, benefits, staffing, overall employee satisfaction, etc. I have about 4 years experience as a nurse. As of right now, pay is a huge factor for me since they’re all great job opportunities. I also want to get an idea of how much money I’d be taking home from each (for example I know UCLA has union dues and some hospitals give you OT after working 8 hours in your shift.) Any help is appreciated!

Specializes in Nurse Practitioner.

I just got hired at Cedars last month as a NP and I love it. All of the RNs are super happy and the culture there is really good. I say go with Cedars. If you are looking for a place to rent I have a 2br, 2 bath I am hoping to rent with another nurse. DM me for details and good luck.

Specializes in Pediatric Home Care, Dr Office/Clinic.

Definitely Cedars...higher pay for new nurses and the work environment I hear is nice. UCLA is also good as a 2nd choice that pays their staff well.

Specializes in ICU / PCU / Telemetry / Oncology.

Curious to know which hospital you (the OP) selected. I work per diem at UCLA and have absolutely no complaints, the pay is excellent and I love the units (float between units @ Ronald Reagan and Santa Monica)! I am looking to apply to Cedars-Sinai for a full time job to replace the one I have now.
