UCI MEPN 2021

Hi all,

See there is no thread yet for this upcoming cycle, I know it's a bit early, but figured it might calm my anxiety to connect with others going through application!

@lmft2np, yes, I agree! Did you actually receive a rejection from UCLA or are you just assuming you are because others have gotten acceptances this morning? Asking to try and find out my own chances of hope there LOL

Does everyone get invited to interview? Does anyone know? I'm super nervous/anxiety/anxious!

In past years, they've asked about 40-50 applicants to interview and then I believe accept around 20 students from that.

OMG that is so nerve-wracking but makes sense. Gosh and here I was thinking I had a better chance at UCLA than UCI. UCI is top notch. I'm still in shock. Has anyone signed up to interview? I'm at work and can't access my email in the computers and I don't want to click the link on my tiny phone screen >_<

Nothing yet, just assuming, but doesn't seem like much hope tbh...

Don’t be. Based on past threads, they took more students in the second round of interviews. Good luck to all of us. ?

 @lmft2np, it's at around 41:00 of the 2018 recorded MEPN info session (available on Youtube).

I understand the feeling of discouragement as I have been feeling this all day with UCLA, but I'm trying to remember that I will end up exactly where I'm supposed to be.  We all will...Like someone said in the UCLA thread today, until it's a "no," it can be a "yes!"

Same, I didn't or haven't gotten an invite. Hopefully, it is true that there are two rounds. For those who received an interview invite, Good luck! You all will do great ? For those waiting, like me, let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best ?
