Hello, is there anyone else applying for the 2017 uci mepn programme? I completed my application like 2 weeks ago.

Hi, I am applying too! I submitted my application last week and am still waiting on one more letter of rec.

Hi! I applied also, completed my application about 1 week ago.

Does anyone have any information about this program besides what is listed on their website? I wasn't able to make any of their info sessions, and I know this is a new program so I'm not sure what it will be like or how competitive it is to get accepted. I do know UCI's nursing program has a great reputation though, so I'm thinking the new MEPN program will be solid as well.

Hey guys!

I'm applying as we speak. I know it's a bit late, but I have till the 22nd of Feb. I also barely figured out this program, which is why everything is so late minute. I was wondering if anyone knows how to submit their resume to UCI's school of nursing? Also, does anyone mind sharing their stats?

Undergrad: UCLA

Cumulative GPA: 3.92

Prerequisite GPA: 4.0

(retaking stats since I took it 9 years ago, but passed the class with an A)

350 hours of volunteer and leadership experience with St. Francis

2450 hours of work experience as an ER Tech and PACU PCA

6 month research assistant experience with UCLA's School of Social Services

Hi, I have a last minute question!

For the Statement of Purpose/Personal History, is essay #1 (why nursing) supposed to be the Personal History and #2 (why UCI) to be Statement of Purpose, or is it the other way around?

Also, if you don't mind answering, how long did your responses end up to be?

Thank you in advance!

From the site: For domestic students, please answer question #1 in your Personal History and question #2 in your Statement of Purpose.

Personal History/Statement of Purpose Guidelines: please answer each of the following questions.1. Describe how your prior education and experience have contributed to your future nursing career goals.2. What specifically attracted you to UC Irvine's Nursing Program as compared to other nursing programs inthe region or nation?

For mine, my SOP was around 900 and my personal history was around 1100.

Great, thank you so much!! I really appreciate it (:

Hi esteemed fellow candidates -- I have a few questions:

Does anyone know when we will hear back from the program on acceptance/waitlist/rejections?

Does anyone know how many people applied?

It starts in the summer 2017, right, even though it lists Fall 2017?

Good luck to all!

Hi. So I asked the Student Affairs Office for confirmation on the delivery of my documents and about when we should expect to hear back for results, and they said, "We are currently reviewing applications at this time. We will notify you if we're still missing any additional documents from your file. If you don't receive a missing document notification by the end of this week, then you can consider your application to be complete. We will notify all applicants of our decision mid-April."

They didn't tell me how many application they've received. Hope this helps!
