Ucf/vcc concurrent program

U.S.A. Florida

Hey everyone, I just received an email congratulating me on being conditionally accepted. Idk how to feel about it :/ What does this exactly mean? Has anyone else gotten the"conditional" acceptance or just accepted??? Thank you to all and good luck.

Personally I think so. My sister-in-law has informed me that she cannot apply to the Nursing program for VCC till she finishes her pre-reqs and takes her TEAS exam. By that time, your probably looking at the entrance of 2014!!! And your only getting the Associates! If you have a gpa of 3.0 or higher, then your best bet should be transferring to UCF and applying for either the basic or the concurrent program. Either way, it will be a 2 year program, but your receiving a bachelors. This is just an opinion, others may think differently. Hope this helps :)

Hello Fellow classmates:o) Trying to find you on facebook but am not having any luck... so excited we will be in this together, and yes I will be working too, but am looking for a part time or per diem job..anyone have any helpful, suggestions? Currently I am a special ed teacher making a positive career change and work per diem in the hospital, but still need income to pay my bills...any thoughts or anyone else in same position? Also, Im taking classes at West Campus, and yes received the email to also apply to VCC Nursing but I already had, so waiting to get the Memordeum

Has anyone received any information other than the acceptance email?

No-still waiting too..

Has anyone heard anything or gotten anything from them yet? What's the next step?! lol

Good morning!!

I actually received the MoA yesterday. It says that I have to print it out, sign, scan and then email the document again.:/ before the 16 th and some other instructions which I'm a little confused on. I believe we also have to meet up with an advisor to set up our classes, but idk if that's with valencia or ucf. Let me know if you receive something today...

Ohh... I havent received anything :/ Did you get it through email or regular mail?

I got it through my knights email...

I got the MoA as well...I thought the directions would be a little more specific...but its very confusing. I can't believe that the background check is $100...pretty pricey if you ask me. I thought we were all supposed to get drug tested as well. I'm trying to get this all done before I leave for Argentina for the summer. Anyone else know if all of this needs to be completed before we pick classes?

See...thats where I'm mostly confused. I believe the background check, the cpr verification and other things that are listed at the bottom are due by the last semester of the nursing program. But I may be mistaken, I'm going to call the nursing department to double check. I'm pretty concerned about how expensive the background check is!!!

Im in the same boat! Let me know what they say to you. I doubt they want to be bombarded with the same questions like 100 times.

Hi all, I haven't received anything from VCC yet but received my MoA from UCF. The MoA for UCF is stating that once we complete our RN from VCC and are in our last semester of UCF BSN classes( this is the very final semester in which we do our practicum) that's when we will have a background check, etc with UCF. We need a background check, drug test, and keep our cpr current with UCF before starting our program in our last semester. We also, will need to do CPR, background and drug tests with VCC prior to starting classes this Fall. So, technically we have 2 background checks and 2 drug tests in this concurrent program, and cpr need to be kept valid. Hope that helps. I am sooo excited to start with you all:o)

Has anyone figured out what they will be doing to pay for bills? I have a part time job, but need a little more hours...anyone else in the same boat?
