Hi
Anybody applying for UCF traditional BSN?
I am a transfer from VCC and submitted my undergraduate application last week.
My overall gpa is 4.0.
teas 72 â˜¹ï¸ I will retake the test in the beginning of February or late January.
I'm seeing an undergraduate adviser next week and the nursing adviser on January to make sure I haven't missed anything.
I haven't taken any chemistry course and I'm not sure if it's mandatory or not to apply for the program.
I strongly believe UCF gives high preference to those who were accepted to UCF straight out of high school and did their pre-reqs at UCF (for main campus Orlando program). They literally play up the pre-nursing major so much from having designated housing for pre-nursing students to sororities. It's definitely unfair in my opinion because UCF is also big on "direct connect" from many different Florida community colleges. Just because most of us did not earn our pre-reqs from UCF shouldn't defeat our stats and way into Orlando campus program.
Hey everyone! I am late to join this but I figured I'd share my stats for anybody who wants to know.

I got denied for Orlando and wait-listed for both Cocoa and Daytona. Praying that I get into either one of them. My backup plan is a bachelor's in Business...and I am a lot less passionate about that option. Also considering the concurrent programs. I will update everyone if I get moved into a program off of the wait-list.

I think it helps if you would've put Cocoa or Daytona as your first choice. Cocoa was my first and Daytona third, and I got denied from Daytona but accepted into Cocoa.

I had Orlando as my first, but knew I probably had no chance.
Cocoa was my second choice and Daytona was my third.
Honestly, at this point, I don't have a preference between Cocoa and Daytona anymore. I'll just be checking my e-mails religiously up until classes start.
I didn't get into USU, and I'm still waiting to hear back from UNF and FGCU. I guess there is still hope, trying not to dwell on this since I do have a backup plan.
Definitely check out UNF if anyone needs a back-up plan. Their Fall 2019 BSN program deadline is not until May I believe. Also, the concurrent programs are great, too from what I've heard! I attended an information session for the concurrent program before and the instructors and especially UCF staff are highly passionate for that program!

You should consider concurrent! You’ll still get your BSN through UCF. They will still see that you took your courses at another insitution.
