Hi! I just wanted to start a thread for everyone that is applying for UCF's BSN program which will begin this Fall, 2012. I think this would be a great place for everyone to share their concerns, nerves about waiting, or questions. :)
So, how is everyone? Which campus are you applying to?
On the main BSN page:
http://www.nursing.ucf.edu/academics/BasicBSN.asp
There is a set of links on the side called Additional Resources, and under that there is a link that says request an application. It will take you to another site where you fill out a few quick questions than a prompt will come up saying an application link will be sent to you in a few days. In a few days the nursing link and a password that matches your email address will be sent and this is how you start the UCF nursing application.
... On the bright side, your wait will be pretty brief. I applied to both the accelerated and traditional programs and each application was sent to me within 2 days or less of my request. :) Don't worry about the questions, I think a lot of us are on the same boat, confused and inpatient!
You will need your PID on the app or it will not process you, that is how the system will be able to identify you. Additionally, you have to apply to UCF before you apply to the nursing school... that is how you acquire a PID number. IDK if I am reading your post incorrectly but if you haven't applied to UCF first, you must do that to obtain that PID.

Well, I guess it is time to call up the College of Nursing. I just received an email today saying that I did not meet the minimum eligibility requirements. This has me worried and I have been up all night trying to figure out what I did not meet. I have an overall 4.0 GPA with an 84.0% on the TEAS V. The only class I have left is Statistics/ (2 others that are not nursing pre-reqs), so I do not understand what is going on. I guess it is time to start figuring out plan B.

I am sorry to hear this, I received an email like that tonight also, and I think I know why. I checked the numbers for pre-req courses and have one mismatch. Luckily I can use another course that matches instead. Have you checked on that? I think UCF would miss out on a student like you, such high numbers you have to offer!
