UCF 2015 FALL BSN traditional program

Published

Hello, I plan on applying to UCF's traditional BSN program in the fall of 2015. Although there is still some time before the application period begins I wanted to start this thread to get the ball rolling for all of us that plan on applying. Also I wanted to see what the application pool is looking like for this cycle in regards to stats. Mine go as this:

Cum. GPA: 3.73

Pre. Req. GPA: 3.84

as for the teas I take it next month

(Wish me luck I've been studying a lot for it, so if u have any tips feel free..lol)

Hope to be hearing back from some of you prospective students with your stats, questions/comments w.e it may be :)

P.s. past students that want to share their experience with the UCF program so far, are also welcome :)

5 semesters for your ASN and then 1-2 semesters of online classes at UCF to finish up your bachelors. Cost is a huge factor for me!

Prior to this it was 6 or 7 plus the two additional. I just went to an info session in January right before this was rolled out. It's also MUCH closer for me to go to altamonte. Uggggh! At least I don't have to make a decision until I know if I am accepted. I assume if I am accepted to ucf i Would be accepted to ssc concurrent...

Honestly that would be amazing if that's the case! Although, since traditional programs are at least 5 semesters long, it confuses me that they could be only 4, you know?

Oh see, I read online before you told me about this new thing, that its 6 semesters total for the concurrent SSC-UCF program (having intertwined classes between SSC and UCF--

http://www.nursing.ucf.edu/Assets/files/UG-Curriculum_DualEnrollmentConcurrent_UCF-SSC.pdf )

So on the link you posted about it changing it shows that the total semesters would be 4, that's where im getting confused. I've never heard from a UCF advisor that it was ever 6-7 semesters log plus 2 more at UCF.

I wish I still had the OLD version of this somewhere. Regardless, the length is now the same as the UCF Basic and much cheaper. I guess I will decide when I have to :/

So, what happens if I am accepted to UCF, apply to the concurrent program and get accepted... I have to either accept or decline the seat at UCF, but why would you decline not knowing if you are accepted to the concurrent yet... Those decisions won't be made until JUNE!?!?

Well some people accept a seat on traditional and then wait till June to find out if they got into Concurrent, then call UCF saying you'd rather go in concurrent so you're dropping your basic BSN seat

That's why wait lists are held all the way until the program starts

Thanks :) I didn't know if that was frowned upon, but the thought of declining a seat and then not getting accepted stinks!

I can't wait any longer, I wish they would just send the emails already!

3 more weeks max, I believe! I'm calmer about it just because it's been 5 weeks but still pretty impatient haha.

I just got an acceptance email!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
