I just wanted to ping the water. I've applied to UCF and I'm just waiting for my acceptance/rejection letter from them. I wanted to know how many people on here have applied to UCF or are a current nursing student there? Any info. would be great? Thanks in advance!

I'm waiting to hear from them, too. They said end of March/beginning of April. (I did get into UF and now I might have to choose between them.)

I've applied. They told us they have about 300 applicants and only accept 50 students. eeeek!

There are having problems finding my gen psych class on my transcript...I was a psychology major, you'd think it would be pretty obvious that I either took general psych or tested out of it, lol.

UF has a better NCLEX pass rate, and I've heard nothing but the best about the program. There's a great transition program to get into a Master's program and the teachers are fantastic. Not to mention, Gainesville is a wonderful place to live and it's REALLY CHEAP!

Finally, I was starting to think that noone else from Florida was really on this board. I'm starting to get a little anxious since I know some decisions are starting to be communicated. The FTIC applicants for the Basic BSN have received their letters so I'm assuming that the accelerated applicants will hear next.

I'm getting a little anxious so I called and spoke w/ a representative at the CON. I found out that some decisions will be communicated by the end of this week and the rest will trickle out until the end of March. The goal is to have everyone aware of where they stand by month-end. Also, I've heard of some nuances regarding the method of communication and it's going to be a letter.

I know. I feel like I'm on a rollercoaster ride everytime I walk to go get the mail. UFblondi (sent you a PM)

I heard UF is much more competitive than UCF...since you did get accepted there i'm sure you got accepted to UCF also. =) What was your GPA when you applied?

I got my UCF acceptance today. I've decided to go to UF, though.
