UCF ABSN Summer 2019

Not sure if anyone else has started a thread for this application cycle, so if not let's start one! I'll be applying to the program, but my undergrad gpa is not competitive in the least. Either way, here are my stats:

Science pre-req: 4.0

other pre-req: 3.75

Over all undergrad gpa: 3.26 (pretty low)

I'll be taking the TEAS 2x if I don't score higher than a 90% the first time to balance out my application. Ive read and in a prior year's thread that if you are above average in 3 of 4 categories you are pretty much set. I'll update this once I take the TEAS. Anyone else applying? What other programs are you considering? My stats will fall into the range of accepted applicants, maybe we'll be classmates in 2019! Also it's been quite some time since i took the TEAS any study tips for the science portion?

Welcome g8rgirl2011

We moved your thread to the Schools/Colleges forum for the best response.

Good luck!

Hello!

I also plan to apply to the UCF ABSN program. I have a few prereqs to take this semester so I am not sure what my gpas will be, but I definitely share your sentiments as far as wanting to score at least 90% on the TEAS. I am also going to apply to SSC/UCF Concurrent program.

hi everyone! i am currently at UF and will be graduating in December with my Bachelors degree in Health Education!

My GPA is around a 3.7 with an 83% on my first attempt on the TEAS. i do plan on taking it again though so hopefully it will go up.

wish you guys all the best!

has anyone started the application process?

Hey all!

I'm graduating with my business management degree from UCF this December!

This is my application details thus far:

TEAS: 87.3 (below average, but I might take it again)

Science prereq: 4.0

Non-science: 4.0

Previous degree (if all goes to plan in my finals this week): 3.799

I'm getting really excited to apply in January! Can't wait to (hopefully) meet you all soon :)

Hello everyone,

I submitted my application and based on past threads, March 8th is usually the day applicants find out. I guess it's a count down until then. Is anyone else applying for the scholarship?

Is anyone else still trying to get final transcripts processed and pre-reqs approved?

I thought I was the only one waiting! It’s so frustrating. I sent mine as soon as my final grade were made available in December and still nothing.

Ok so glad to hear I'm not the only one!! I sent mine in the first few days of January but December?? That means they're seriously behind in processing transcripts. Hopefully, they'll catch up soon or begin to review applications even without all the "official" info.

I spoke with a counselor at the admissions office and they said they can see I sent them in so I'm not too worried anymore. On the thread from last year, it wasn't until around early February that the application status changed to 'eligible'. I think the date was like feb. 6th so I guess this isn't uncommon. A couple people also said only prerequisite portion was yellow for a while. The counselor said they're just really behind. UCF is a huge school and this is the time I would imagine first-time college students are having their transcripts reviewed too.
